A native of Ottawa Canada, Laurie spent 25 years as a Broadcaster both in Canada and the United States before becoming an Author of 3 fabulous books "CLASS MOM", "YOU'VE BEEN VOLUNTEERED" and "YOGA PANT NATION". The series follows the hectic life of Jen Dixon, mom wife, caretaker and endless volunteer at her son's elementary school who, as Laurie described, is her alter-ego. She is currently writing her 4th book "SMELLS LIKE TWEEN SPIRIT", which is due out summer of 2022. Laurie's husband is Michael Gelman, the Executive Producer of the long running and #1 daytime talk show "Live with Kelly and Ryan" and they the proud parents of their daughters Jamie and Misha.
