What a joy it was to chat with Stand-Up Comedian, Writer, Speaker, Former Teacher Julia Scotti, who has shared her story about her transgendered experience live onstage, on Season 11 of NBC's "America's Got Talent" and Showtime "More Funny Women of a Certain Age" Special. Julia started performing stand-up comedy in the 80's as Rick Scotti, touring all over the country for decades, only to quit to become a schoolteacher and forge ahead with her transition and then years later, re-enter the comedy world again as Julia.
