We were so honored to have Actress, Producer, Voice Over
Artist, Author, Motivational Speaker, Television and Radio Talk
Show Host and now Stand-Up Comedian Rolanda Watts on our podcast.
We talked about her life as an expressive little girl from
Winston-Salem, NC whose parents that were edicators and
encouraged her to write her stories. She had mastered
storytelling and utlimately majored in journalism at Columbia
University. She became one of New York City's premier reporters,
which ultimately launched her into her own internationally
syndicated daytime talk show "Rolonda" in the late 90's. Subsequent
to her successful talk show, she pursued acting and starred in TV
shows such as "Sister, Sister" and "The West Wing". Rolonda also
has lent her voice for such animationed series as "Curious
George" and "The Penguins of Madagascar". She has added author to
her list of accolades with her best selling her novel "Destiny
Lingers", which was endorsed by Maya Angelou, who was a family
friend and mentor. There is nothing this women can not
conquer, an inspiration and a true reflection of women empowerment.
